You can now send real-time payments through the Mercury API. Set realTimePayment as the paymentMethod when you send money, and the funds will arrive in seconds, 24/7/365, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Available on Mercury Business and Personal accounts provided through Column, N.A.

Some payments still call for a physical check — a vendor who only takes paper, a check that goes out with an IRS filing, or just the occasional one-off payment. Now you can order free business checkbooks directly from your dashboard. When it arrives, you'll be ready for the moments when nothing else will do. Each business can order up to six checkbooks per year for free.

With real-time payments (RTP), you can receive payments in seconds, even outside of banking hours. This includes faster payments from participating banks as well as payment processors like Stripe, Amazon, and Square.
RTP is currently available to customers with accounts on Column, N.A. To find out which partner bank your account is on, log in and go to the “Accounts” page, click on an account to view its details, and you’ll see the partner bank on the right-hand side of the screen.

Sending free same-day ACH payments
Like USD wires, ACH payments are free on Mercury. And if you send an ACH before 12:00pm PT during business hours funds typically post that same afternoon. Since most recipient banks charge less for ACH payments compared to wires, that means faster payroll, vendor payments, and customer refunds for you. If your payment doesn't qualify for same-day ACH, we'll send it as a next-day payment.
